The National Gliding, Powered Flying and Navigation Courses are happening again over the summer holidays! The Gliding course runs 8-14 December, with the Powered Flying and Navigation courses running 13-24 January. If you are interested in aviation within Cadets, it doesn’t get any better than this.
The prerequisites for the courses are that – by the time the course starts – you must have completed your second year at Cadets, and be 15 years old for Navigation and Gliding, and 16 years old for Powered Flying.
Before you apply on CadetNet, you must complete the Aviation Health and Safety Moodle Package. Do this by typing in “NZCF Moodle” into Google, signing in with your CadetNet login, selecting the Aviation Health and Safety Module and typing in 17Sqn-AHSv01 as the enrolment key. You will then be able to read the content and take the quiz at the end. If you don’t complete the module, CadetNet will automatically decline your application.
CadetNet applications are made under the ‘ATP’ tab. Serials 1650, 1652 and 1653.
