Online Shop Terms and Conditions

The online shop functionality of our website (www.17squadronatc.com/shop) exists to provide a means for cadets, parents/caregivers and other stakeholders to pay for unit exercises/activities (including camps), annual subscriptions, bonds and order merchandise (as and when appropriate).

By using this service you understand and agree to the following:

Relationship with CadetNet

  • CadetNet is a national online database and management system developed and maintained by HQ NZCF. As a unit we have very little control or input into this system.
  • Our online shop provides a payment method, in addition to the exercise/activity application process on CadetNet.
  • Prior to completing an order through our shop, ensure you have applied and have next-of-kin approval on CadetNet.

Payments

  • All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and tax free.
  • The final price paid is displayed at the bottom of the checkout page prior to confirming your purchase.
  • We recommend payment via a Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit Card issued by your New Zealand bank.
  • Major credit cards are also accepted. Any customer bank fees, interest or the like associated with the use of credit cards and/or foreign currency cards is the responsibility of the purchaser.
  • We also accept NZ bank deposits. Please use the Order Number in the reference field.
  • If these payment options are not suitable, please contact our administration team to discuss your needs.

Refunds

Refunds for exercises/activities (including camps) are available on the following grounds:

  • Where a cadet is not accepted for an activity on CadetNet.
  • Where an exercise/activity is cancelled.
  • Where an exercise/activity is postponed, and the cadet is not able to attend the new scheduled date.
  • Where a cadet cannot attend an exercise/activity for reasons beyond their/their parent/caregivers control (e.g. illness, injury, family emergency).
  • Where a cadet changed their mind provided they withdraw from the activity on CadetNet prior to the close off date advised.

Refunds for subscriptions are available on the following grounds:

  • Where a cadet leaves the unit prior to 31 March, 100% of the subscription for that year will be refunded.
  • Where a cadet leaves the unit up to or including the last day of Term 2, 50% of the subscription for that year will be refunded.
  • Where a cadet leaves beyond these time periods, no refund is available.

Physical products (including tee shirts and other merchandise) are purchased from the suppliers to order and therefore not able to be refunded or exchanged, unless the product is defective. In which case, we will hold the supplier to their obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

The uniform bond, charged to new recruits, will be refunded in full on the return of all uniform and equipment issued to the cadet. In the event items are missing or damaged (beyond fair wear and tear), the cost of replacement will be deducted from the bond paid and any value in excess of the bond will be charged.

Disputes

Any disputes or concerns should first be raised with the unit Administration Team via email. Disputes not able to be resolved may then be escalated to the Cadet Unit Commander.
